For anyone who has ever lived in the Orem area, this is a familiar landmark. Most of you have probably even been inside. Well, I hadn't been inside for about 20 years...
...but then, I stepped back in time. Nothing has changed. Literally. I think they have the same carpet, lockers, snack bar and I'm pretty sure the same germs are there.
These two bodies have definately changed. At first, we thought that we had forgotten how to skate, but evidently, it's like riding a bike. After a few spins around the rink we began to gain confidence and speed.
I'm happy to say that although I was pretty sore afterward, no permanent damage was done. It was great fun pretending to be young, but I think that it was only luck that kept me from a trip to the hospital.
P.S. If you're wondering, Why? It was Corinne's Ward Christmas Party.

That is really funny. Wish I could have been there to see. I'm not very good at skating myself. We went there once, and David had to help me.

So, Classic Skating is my family's buisness. I pretty much grew up at the rink. After 30 years of being open they have had a few carpet changes, but I would agree with you that the I bet the germs are still there. It's funny how many people have fun memories of the rink.
Oh, I hope you didn't think that I thought that you were ragging on Classic. I started working their when I was 14 and trust me...I could tell you a few funny stories about that place. I personally can't eat Tootsie Rolls because we gave so many away and we were always scraping them off the floor. I'm glad you had a good time. It is always fun to go back and skate every once and a while.

Awesome, I love classic skating. Brandon, David, and I love rollerblading! I never knew that you guys went there! That's so cool! I have such a cool mom and "aunt".
