Thanksgiving Point and cardboard boxes

If you've looked at Michelle's blog you've already seen pictures of our outing last Saturday, but here are a couple more.
Taking three little kids in a stroller and Nana in her wheel chair took all the rest of us adults.

Michelle posted about Asher's sorbet, but nothing tops Kimberley's enthusiasm for ice cream. Why are cardboard boxes more fun than actual toys? I guess it's because they require imaginations,
and that's where the real fun lies.

Are we having fun, or what?

A thoughtful son

This morning Grant caught me with a tear in my eye and expressed concerned. I told him I was feeling under appreciated and he said he was really sorry. Then, when he came home from work today he had these flowers and a card telling me how much he appreciated me and all that I did for him. I was really touched by his concern for me, and to the extent that he remembered after work to bring me flowers. He made my day!! I feel really grateful to have such a sweet son, who really does care about other people. He said he got these because he thought they were a cheerful color. And they worked. They cheered me up. Thanks, Grant, I love you!!

Happy Days in May

These pictures are sort of in random order, but they are some of what life has been like around here lately.

Blaine was here for one day, Mother's Day! We loved having him here.

You know that one of my favorite things is the fact that we have horses behind our house. Now it is one of Kimberley's favorite things too.

We have a picnic table out back and now that the weather is warmer, we can enjoy that too.

Asher is our little pig. He eats anything. After the Bims, it is quite a change.

When you tell Kimberely to smile, this is what you get.

We call it her cheesy grin!
Asher is our handsome boy.

One treat is to take a bubble bath in Grammy's tub.

I haven't been taking very many pictures of Oliver. I guess he's always asleep or something. I will have to remedy that. (Not the sleeping , but the lack of photos.)

Grant

Most of you know that Grant was recently divorced, and I have not wanted to put all of his private business on the internet while he was going through such a difficult time in his life. Those types of things are best kept private. But, he is doing so well that I thought it was time to fill you in on how he is doing. Yes, he is doing great. In fact, he's happier than he has been in a very long time. He is making new friends, spending time with old friends and we are all loving having him here at home. He's a good uncle to Michelle's kids and they love him. Kimberley says she misses him when he is gone. He's still working for Enterprise Rent a Car and seems to enjoy his job. He began working for them before he graduated from UVU two years ago.
I must say that we have been very proud of Grant. During his divorce and before, he conducted himself like the kind and righteous man that he is. He had reason to complain and even to misbehave, but he never did. I'm sure that he is one of the nicest men on earth.
We love you, Grant, and feel that being your parents has blessed our lives immensely.
