Father's Day Etc.

Michelle went to Denver (and took Oliver) to help look for a place to live, so I got to babysit. Here's Grandad on Father's Day. It was finally warm enough to have dinner on the deck.
We never have to force Kimberley to eat her dessert. This time it was Grandad's favorite...strawberry shortcake. A very full tummy.

On Monday we had a blast!! Bims and Dash take after their Uncle Grant. His favorite thing was to take out all of the pots and pans.

And on percussion...Kimberley!!

After digging in the dirt and playing follow the leader through the bushes, we sat on the picnic table and watched the farmer next door cut the hay, while we had popsicles.

We had a great weekend and Grammy was very tired and glad to see Mommy on Monday night.

Plan B

For Michelle's birthday we planned to go to the zoo or to the Pioneer park at the This is The Place Monument, but it was raining, so we went for plan B ...the aquarium!!Grant and Kimberely are looking at the sting raysand so are Grandad and Asher.

On the way home Oliver was crying his head off and I looked back and saw Asher with his hands over his ears. When I got my camera to take a picture, Kimberley wanted to join in. On Sunday we had Michelle's birthday dinner.
Kimberley was all too happy to "help" me with the cake.

Finishing up the merry, merry month of May

A couple of weeks ago Kimberley and I went on a little field trip to the temple.
We talked about the temple and sang "I love to see the temple."

I think this picture could be used in a very symbolic way. This is Kimberley's life and her journey toward the temple.

On Memorial day weekend Blaine came for a visit.

We had a picnic in our favorite canyon picnic spot. Asher really loves his Uncle Grant.

Kathi proved to us that her mouth was the biggest by fitting a huge piece of watermelon in all at once.

Fun games were played...

...including rolling down the hill.

Is this the world's cutest baby, or what?

Father and son. Soooo cute.
It doesn't get any better than this.

One sad note for May...
my Uncle Raymond passed away on Memorial Day,
so my mother and I drove over to Colorado for his funeral.

Aunt Betty and Della.
Cousin Bruce and Marilyn.

My birthday was a happier occasion.
First thing in the morning Kimberely and Asher and Michelle sang me Happy Birthday and brought me gifts.
Then, Grant had the day off so he offered to spend it with me.
We went on a lovely hike up the river past Tibble Fork.

Sorry Grant. It's a bad picture of you, but it shows what a great time we were having.

The rest of my birthday was fun too. I got to eat lunch with Grant on our cute little front porch (he bought me my very favorite thing, Green Chili Chicken salad from Bajio), I had a visit from Corinne and then Ken, Grant and I went to see the Star Trek movie.
