Here's a picture of our darling Asher and his playmate, Cougar. Thanks Michelle for these 2 photos.
Kimberley is following in her parent's footsteps. This little pink piano was Michelle's when she was little. I'm in Grammy heaven. Musical talent is definately hereditary.

For the past 2 1/2 years I have been the Gospel Doctrine teacher in Sunday Schoool. Most of my adult life I have said that this would be one calling I would not want to have. How scarey would it be to stand up in front of most of the adults in the ward and try to teach them something that would be of real spiritual use to them? Anyway, when they asked me to do this I knew that the Lord would help me to be able to do it. If He wanted me to teach, then I knew that He would help me. So I forged ahead and did my very best. Many class members have told me that they really love my lessons. My main hope was that they felt the Spirit teaching them. It has been a very good experience for me. I have loved teaching the Old Testament in 2006 and the New Testament in 2007. I especially loved teaching about the Savior and his life on the earth. Wow. What a priviledge it has been to (hopefully) lead others closer to the Lord. Now, I am being released. I handed in my class manual last Sunday. Evidently the Bishop has something else in mind for me. I have to admit that I am a bit worried about that. But in the mean time I am enjoying a stress free week. I even sewed new curtains for the basement family room.
Well, even cats are cute when they are sick. Yes, Cubby had to go to the vet because he had a sore tooth. It was loose and rotten, so the doctor pulled it without any Novocaine. Poor baby. Then he had to have a TON of blood tests and a urinalysis. Because he weighs 20 1/2 lbs. they said he is at risk for diabetes. The tests said that he doesn't have diabetes, but, he has to loose 5 lbs. That's 25 % of his weight. Yikes. Now he has special food and he's taking antibiotics. If you look closely you can see the pink medicine on his fur. Poor baby.
Here's my other baby. Ours lives have become pretty dull when the only thing I have to blog is a sick cat and Ken's colonoscopy. There he is getting ready to take his first dose of the wonderful cleansing liquid. The good news is that his test came out perfect with no pollups this time. WooHoo!

Okay, the deer have been leaving "evidence" of their nightly visites to our yard. Hey, of course, I mean footprints in the snow. If you look closely, you'll see a deer hopping down our street. By the time I got my camera out, this deer had escaped to the street.
We had a birthday party for Kristin on Saturdayand yes, we did invite three brunettes, but they didn't come. I guess it's true that blondes have more fun.

Kimberley's birthday

Michelle made this really fun cake for Kimberley's birthday. We had a beach theme!
How much fun is it to scoop cake out with a shovel? Cake anyone?
More presents? It's good to be two!!!
Do you think she will still want to vacuum when she's 10? Me neither.
Even Asher thinks birthday parties are fun.

Merry 2nd Christmas and a Happy New Year!

We went to Az to see Michelle and her little family on Dec 27th and had a 2nd Christmas. Kimberley is becoming very good at opening presents!
Here she is "helping" Asher open his presents.
They have another new addition to their family. His name is Cougar, which makes Ken very happy.
The name Asher means happy and he is living up to his name.

Here is picture of the prettiest girl in the world in her Christmas dress.

Beth, my brother's wife took us to see her art work in this gallery in Tubac, Az, an art community just a few miles from the Mexican border.
